Proposal: ATT Lab Tech Support
The University of Houston AT&T Laboratory is an international research and training facility that includes a high-speed campus-wide network that connects five research laboratories and a computer laboratory to international and regional networks such as Internet, Internet2, AT&T Backbone, and Lonestar Education and Research Network (LEARN). The technical needs of supporting such a network are many from cabling installations, routers and switches, server and workstations running Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems, and various applications. In addition, the network supports a variety of research projects that have specific hardware and software requirements as well as network demands that have to be met for their successful completion.
Under the supervision of UH AT&T Lab Manager, our tech support team will be supporting the UH AT&T Lab wide area and local area networks. For this purpose we will create a tech support system to keep track of operations, equipment, software, and assess future needs in the College of Technology Telecommunications Network.
