The University of Houston College of Technology Research Network (UHCOTNET) was born as an training and research initiative in partnership with Southwestern Bell Communications in 2004. Since then, UHCOTNET has grown to become an campus-wide high-speed network that connects several College of Technology research labs to local, regional and international networks. In addition, the UHCOTNET provides students and faculty with the opportunity to get hands-on experience in various technologies as well as serve as a testbed for research projects.
