VPN with the use of RADIUS can be quite a powerful and useful too. While VPN allows users to connect to a private network using a public network (the internet), RADIUS allows authentication and authorization of these users. Not all users that connect to remote servers share the same rights or privileges, and RADIUS (Remote Authentication Dial In User Service) allows for information regarding each users rights to be stored and referenced when that user attempts to connect.
When a user attempts to connect to the AT&T server, his or her log in information is then checked to verify what level of access they are granted and allows them access under those parameters.
Team VPN and Team RADIUS were able to configure the VPN server to perform all authentication and accounting features through the RADIUS server.
