The purpose of the work ticket system is to allow the AT&T lab tech team members to work independently on collaborative tasks. We needed a means to communicate to each other what we accomplished in our time in the lab. The ticket system would also serve as a work history for compiling this final report. The work ticket format we created is a Microsoft word template. This ticket template has fields that documents the who worked, when it was performed, and what was accomplished or needs to be completed. We emailed work tickets to each other every time we worked in lab so every team member was kept up to speed.
Additionally, our team had the option of uploading our documents, including our work tickets to a server provided by the lab manager. Our team chose not to use this storage option since several members were experiencing issues with service access. Creating this ticket system only took a week to finish which matched exactly what we outlined in our project time-line. A sample of our work ticket document is attached in the file below.
